My first time to have them and I just laugh when I look at them !
I have only had them a week !
Here is a pic of my Blue Turkens and some of their offspring.
I really like the almost lemony blue color of this pullet.

OMG!! The look like they have a RAGING case of feather lice or mites or...
something...nope..that's just wrong, wrong, WRONG!!! I'm not even sure that's a bird that could eventually grow on me. I guess to own one is to love one eh? That whole "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" thing?

With a face like that, they'd HAVE to be friendly!!! Heaven knows they don't have a lot else going for them!
I'm sorry. I mean absolutely NO offense to anyone who loves these birds. I'm sure they probably have very wonderful dispositions and personalities.
I can vouch for the fact that the ugliest girl in my flock is also one of the very sweetest. It's as if she's compensating for an ugly exterior by having a beautiful interior! Maybe it's the same for Turkens?
I will tell you one thing, when people show up at the house they are like WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!!! They are cute, they grow on you!! And they are very friendly, my son loves toting them around!!

My roo-no idea on a color name for him-
I call this one a Lavender, she is a hen.
A brown hen
Another brown hen with blue tail feathers and blue tipped wings.
This is my favorite besides my roo. Not sure on color name but she is a hen.

Macho was beautiful!
Thank you. He died protecting his flock from my husbands escaped hunting dogs. I lost 12 birds that day. I still miss him.
