Hello,
I know a lot of us are struggling right now financially.

So let's help those in need and give 'em some tips!

*We try to eat out less

*The thermostat is relatively low

*Try to take short showers

*Hang clothes instead of drying in the dryer

This summer was bad for us so I started making my own dishwasher and laundry detergent. Things are better now but I still use the homemade stuff. I really like it!

Raise about 1/3rd of all our meat, 50-80% of the veggies/fruit by month (more in summer). Planned menus, the less shopping trips the less change to grab junk food. Library is still free.

Best way I have found to save money is to stay away from Walmart with the family and do not under any circumstances let the husband have the debit card.

Take my gardening seriously. Pay attention to seasons and cycles, and stay with the game.

Get the free horse manure, off of Craigslist.

Start raising chickens, of course.

Eat leftovers, until they are done, but I've always done that.

Get the manager's special, at the bread store, for the animals.....Right!

When the gas price is rising, fill the tank. When it's dropping, buy just enough, for the day.

Work two jobs,
Raise chickens for eggs to eat and sell,
Make my own soap, lotion, laundry and dishwashing soap, to use and sell,
No credit cards,
NO fast food,
Keep thermistat at 60,

Make our own laundry, hand and general cleaning soaps or use soap nuts.
Can,freeze and raise most all of our food.
Goats in this weekend for milk, butter and yogurt.
Make own bread, rolls and coffeecake.
Recycle and repurpose everything I can.

Trying to make all I can but can't seem to figure out how to make the TP or PT. Any ideas?

Going to try our own rootbeer.
Bee hives in next spring--less sugar-use more honey in baking and cooking.
Check out the web site--TipNut.com lots of good ideas and patterns for sewing and crafts.
