We call ours the 'looks so real you have to ask' tree. lol

I like artificial 'cause I can put it up right after Turkey day and it wont die before Christmas

Plus DS has allergies...

Our next door neighbor runs a tree farm. I have to get one of his real trees (Douglas firs) every year to further the cause. I prefer fake trees, though. Especially the ones with the lights already wired in.

In our 22+ years of marriage, we've only had a real cut down tree for the past 3 years.... and we went to cut them down for two of those years.

This year we decided we'd pull the tree out of the box again.

Gives me a good feeling to know there is one more tree still growing in the forest this year.

We have an Arizona Cypress that I bought small for my son's room years ago. It gets re-potted every so often. Each spring it gets a good pruning and by Christmas it comes inside to smell up the place. It has to go up late and come down early because even though it has the big window and we turn it
occasionally...It likes the great outdoors more than the living room. (Although I Think it enjoys the attention.) Eventually it will not fit into the house, (like all the ones before it) and it will either get traded back to the nursery we got it from for another small tree, or we will add it to the landscape somewhere.

I would love to start my own from seeds, but I have a male tree...and, pollen.

We have 2 Norfolk Pines in pots that are inside in the winter, and in the garden when it warms up.The only bad part is they don't hold alot of weight. We put lights & some foil garland on it, and hang our favorite ornaments around the house.

I have a gorgeous grove of Hemlocks outside. I'd love to put lights on them- but they are 200ft from an outlet

We have always done artificial trees since that one Christmas that everyone sat around miserable and sneezing

I love the fresh cut ones but seems our sinus's would prefer us to use artificial.

When I was a child my parents always had real trees 12 ft. tall ,and I always got to clean the needls out of the carpet. I love real trees but hate the mess so I go fake every year!

i can't imagine walking into my home and not smelling the tree.. i love the smell sooooo much .. for the down stairs near the wood stove we use fake.. but it is the real deal in the living room.
