That's what we thought, these are our first duck eggs...I guess we should pip them and see what we have...Sadly, that procedure we're used to from our silkies...These are the last 3 from a batch of 16, we are disappointed beyond words at this point after being so diligent for an entire month...They moved around yesterday so I think 2 are still ok, we're going to find out today...

i did it around 5 mins or so was gave the idea when i asked about geese eggs never had one hatch then tried this and bam 30 days later baby geese (and the ducks that were in the tray 100%) so i went with it from then on

Decided to candle and break the eggs where I could see air and see what's up...The first one appears to have broken thru the membrane then died...

The 2nd one was moving when I candled it but died shortly after I opened it...Notice the yolk?...

The third one was also moving and actually pipped, so I helped it and now he's in there drying and still breathing...1 out of 16, sad day for us here....

I would get another thermometer It looks like maybe your temps was too low and they was slow forming.I know with it being winter I have had a devil of a time keeping my temps up in the bators at night and I just had this happen to a whole batch of silkies. How is the little one u got out doing ? We set our first ducks November 24 so far so good they are all forming I am going to be as heart broken as you if I do not get atleast a few I am so excited about having little ducks
