Differance regarding still air and fan

A fan distributes the heat evenly and helps stabilize it a lot. It also helps with controlling humidity. A fan is a "must have" in my opinion.
 
Yes. If it's a Little Giant you can order the fan kit. Hova probably has one too.

It's possible to use a computer type fan but it's more complicated to install.
 
I installed a $3 computer fan attached to an old cell phone charger that I had laying around into my Little Giant. We should find out in another 14 days if it made a difference.

I put a computer fan in a Little Giant incubator. The fan came from a discarded computer. The 12 volt transformer to power the fan came from a discarded portable phone.

It was an easy installation. Works fine.

A SEARCH of BYC will yield MUCH information on this "simple procedure".

Yelp, if you can scrounge up a computer fan and a small wallwart power supply that has 12 volts or less of output...probalby 9 or 6 volts would be better (slower speed) you could save yourself some money. Really not hard to do and plenty of info here on the website. If you can come up with the parts, between everybody we can probably help you get it going.

Thrift stores, Goodwill Stores, yardsales, closets are your scrounger friends.

I've put together a fan for my LG incubator. It's a computer fan on a cell phone plug. So how do I position it in the incubator? My last hatch I just propped it in a corner, but it wasn't ideal. How is it installed in the ones that come with a fan? Is it okay to have the fan blowing directly on the eggs?
