Can someone explain this to me? DH was making an egg sandwich for breakfast and when he cracked one of the eggs open, there a broken rubberband!

Yeah, I'd be thinking more along the line of worms. Not sure that a rubber band could make it's way into an egg. I'd crack open an egg (knowing myself I'd check more than one) that hasn't been boiled and check for worms.
 
please..please let it be a rubberband...or i'll never eat another egg again...

I have heard of people inserting items into the hen for them to be included in the egg -- I believe it was a wedding ring that sticks in my memory. When the girl craked it and found the ring the guy proposed.
Anyway, I highly doubt anyone intentionally planted a rubberband in your hen's booty so....I guess you'd better check for worms!
 
No...it's a rubberband. He pulled it out and showed me. It is a tan rubberband and still mildly elastic. 100% positive!
