Hello

This is my first time buying chicks and I decided to get them from nature's hatchery because i could order just one of a breed and there was no min.
However- after talking to the gentleman and getting an estimate I can't seem to talk to anyone or have them call me back to confirm and pay for the darn order.

I'm about to just forget them and find a new place. Any input?

Thanks

I don't know, but I wanted to write so I could watch the thread. Maybe they are small and just overwhelmed? I don't know... update us!

Um, yeah. Ditto, Ditto, Ditto! That is *exactly* what happened to me when I wanted to buy some Mallards they had listed for sale last year. I am not sure what the deal is. Maybe they are a new company. Maybe they don't have what you wanted. Who knows. I could never get them to call or return an email and I didn't even have any questions. I just wanted to buy the birds!

Hello,

Well I finally confirmed my order today. The gentleman was very nice and apologized for the long wait in between phone calls. He said they were overwhelmed with calls. perhaps it's just the cynic in me but if you were overwhelmed last year and you can't keep up this year shouldn't you get more people to help? It took over a week between the time I spoke with him about what birds we would like and finally being able to give him my payment information.

This is my first time buying so I hope the birds are great.

Good Luck.

We ordered last year from them and had no problems. We ordered some Mille Fleurs and RIR for 4H project and they were nice birds. When they made the first shipment it got very cold and we lost most of the little Mille Fleurs so called them and left a message and they returned my call the next day. We received the replacement chicks the following week no charge not even for the shipping. We were happy. We also ordered some call ducklings - they do not guarantee what color you will get but the ducklings were all fine. For the price guess I can't complain. They must be busy this year and are still getting used to the business since I think they are pretty new at it.

i ordered about 30 chicks, all different breeds and sizes. everything from jersey giants to silkie bantams. i called on 3/1 to verify shipping date of 3/10, my call was returned within 3 hours, very polite man. he said everything was a go!! on my way out tomorrow to get my chick starter and thermometer. so excited!!!celebrate

3/10/10 i received a phone call telling me my babies had been shipped. i was really hoping they would be here today, but that would only be overnight. i called the post office yesterday and gave them a head's up. so far i haven't been notified and at this point (2 pm) it probably won't be until tomorrow. i did call and leave a message for reed at natures hatchery asking for an express shipping number to try and track their progress and he not called back yet, but it's only been about 15 minutes. these are my first ever shipped babies. i cannot remember the last time i was this eggcited about something. i don't know if i'll have any fingernails left by the time they get here!
