lol I guess I should point out tho that I am licensed in the state of michigan, license # cf250295656 lol. I am allowed up to 6 foster kids, and as many of my own as I want as that is the state's regulations. On any average day I have somewhere between 8-11 kids running around the house. I find it gets less crazy if I stay in a central location and delegate orders from my older kids to the younger ones.
At the end of the day we all get together to cook, share stories, eat and plan the next day.
Rusty - I do have a set of parenting standards I have to follow when I accepted my license from the state of Michigan. There are ways to make the kids respectable and polite no matter how hard a life they lead
Many of ours come from inner cities where the social standards are very low IMHO.
Annanicole - Not sure if I would call them "mistake" children, but the government, state, and local counties do remove kids for cause. The problem is, everybody is too busy looking after themselves and rarely extends a hand to those who so desperately need it. You aren't being a busy body by reporting, and worse case scenario you upset someone.
Kids are our future. If we allow them to grow up as thief's, thugs, murderers, psychopaths and sociopaths, our future is pretty bleak. Instead of "mistake" or disposable.. lets mentor, encourage, nurture, love and help.
