Ok, all this time, I thought I had a plymouth rock hen. But looking at some photos, I believe now, she may be a cuckoo maran.
Is there any way to tell?
She was supposed to be a "duck" egg when she was hatched in a classroom, so there is no tracing what kind of chick she was supposed to be. It's all guesswork fo me.
She is very docile, she is also our only bird, she lives in the house in a small pen and goes out in the yard with us regularly to forrage. She doesn't fly well at all! lays light brown eggs, sometimes with a few speckles.
