I have 4 chickens that are probably around 4-5 months old. I've thought the whole time that they were all hens but the past several days someone in the morning has started "honking" really loud. I thought I caught a glimpse of who it was today and I think it was my favorite "girl" Maude (it looked like she was flapping her wings at the same time too). She is the smallest of the four but has been the boss since day one. She also has a comb (and wattle) that's much larger than the others (theirs are almost non-existent). She isn't any particular breed - just a mystery mix. Should I be worried she is really a roo? Thanks for any responses!

Here are some photos but the most recent is probably still a couple weeks old so I'll also include a short video from this past weekend (if it will work):

This is the video (it's really short - maybe 20 seconds):

Keep those opinions coming - I want to hear all "she's a girl"!

I did just say yesterday that I think they are getting really close. They are spending much more time "laying" around in general than they used to. Now they seem like they mean business when they do it!

She is crazy - can't you tell just looking into those eyes?! She's also my favorite because she has so much personality. I'll go find some bugs and walk over to the coop to give them to her and she gets so excited when she sees me coming with something in my hand!

Had to add this pic too - she wasn't exactly a "looker" when I got her but I always put Maude in the category of so-ugly-she's-cute...

Every now and then one of my young pullets will honk. It's like a short, startled expletive. My BR does it more than any of the other birds.

And the RIR sometimes sounds like she's laughing insanely.

..then there are the extra roos, bantam breeds, just learning how to crow....

Plus the Egg Song. It's NOISY around my house. I love it!

I think Maude's a girl, btw.
