I have a question............How do you tell the difference between a serama and a japanese black tailed white bantam? I know serma's have different coloring, but what if the coloring is all white with a black tail? I ask because I saw a serama that looked JUST LIKE my japanese advertised as a serma. If I can find the link again, I will post.

Just wondering...

(edited because I evidently should have failed spelling in school)

Compare the photos of Japs and Seramas on the ABA website. Japs here http://www.bantamclub.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=5 and Seramas here http://www.bantamclub.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=7
Japs
are much more horizontal and foreward-leaning. Everything about a Serama should be vertical. They don't stand like that all the time, and the photo you are looking at may be of a relaxed bird, or it may not be the best quality bird. Seramas are new to this country, and many breeders aren't able to consistantly breed typey stock. They do come in black tailed white, so your best bet, if looking for a Serama, is to go out and see the bird or ask for more photos.
