Im thinking about getting one, and would like to know if they are pretty good bators? Ive been following "Mahonri's 2nd Annual New Year's Day Hatch & Contest for GFMs!" thread and all this talk about hatching seems fun.

I love mine. I just tried my first batch of eggs. 6 out of 7 eggs hatched. It's very easy to use.

Lots of people love it.. So you should definately "start" with that. Once you get the hatch fever, you are going to need a much bigger one.. This hobby is addictive as crack

I have been hatching out of my Mini for the last year - sooooo simple!! But get this - it keeps me out of trouble because I can only do 7 eggs at one time - My DH would kick me out if I had a larger incubator... I think I hatched 9 out of 12 months last year

hatching will be your new addiction but be prepared to sell some chicks

That's the reason I got mine! I figured my hubby wouldn't murder me over 6 chicks every month vs. 20 chicks every month.

I bought one about an hour ago. I got the Brinsea Mini Advanced. I would love some pictures and info on it!!

Question, where do you add water for the humidity? Do you have to take off the top?
