Awesome Flock!

How many do you have?

I saw an EE rooster in there!

Mine come waddling at high speed as well when they see me!

Petej, your flock is large and varied compared to my small flock. I just have 4, all silver-penciled PR. These pics were taken a few months ago, before the snow. I'll try to take a few new pics, but it is too cold for them to be outside their small pen today. There is a windchill of -20 today in |Prince Edward Island! I'm still getting one egg per day from my 3 hens, even in this cold and short days. Wind gusts were up to 90 km/h last night and blew down a big old spruce tree across my lane.

Neighbour who keeps horses in my old barn has already cleared it off the lane, so that I can get up and down it. Thank God for good neighbours!

Hi Cats Critters,

I see a bit of snow in your yard. My chickens aren't very brave now. They stay in their small covered pen to avoid the snow here. The ground is completely covered now with 18 inches of snow, and it will probably stay covered until March.

I see your flock are very friendly and like to be hand fed. Great isn't it?

It's only January and I'm longing for spring!

Bye for now.

The last picture is older, but does show the tag along Carmel (one of my cats), currently we have probably about 10 inches of snow right now, but we had a few inches less during the first two. They are okay with snow but they prefer to stick to areas I have shoveled out.

Yep they are willing eat out of my hand, but currently I don't have anyone who likes to be held right now.

No I can't wait for spring either, but it doesn't help at my house the pipes are frozen so we don't have water!
