We have been blessed with healthy and beautiful Easter Eggers but one of my roosters is a beautiful purebred Lavendar Ameraucana Rooster from Harry Shaffer lineage whose name is "Sharky". I had so hoped to be able to get him some purebreds Lavendar Ameraucana pullets or hens last year as many of you as I posted WTB after WTB....But since none were available so I didn't want Sharky to get discouraged or any lonelier, so I changed my search for EE eggs And hatched babies that are now laying Hens They have pretty colors and are very interesting. Sharky and the other roosters are doing their jobs!!! The babies that I hatched from Sharkey's pen have been beautiful. Some with heavy lavendar colors and one that looked just lavendar chocolaty. The babies from the other pen have also been so colorful and fun! Unfortunately I posted them on a computer that's crashed have been great and I've sold every chick. So next hatching I must make photos and keep on a disk and here on BYC. There will be eggs from both pens.

Anticipated ship date will be after payment is made. If payment is made before noon EST after close of auction, it will be shipped that day!

One of the hens from the other flock:
Sweetie, always goes up to roost after she lays an egg. She has bits of blue/grey blue on her face and feathers and is just a charmer!

Pictures below of sampling of eggs - Flash is stuck "on" on my camera, need to get it repaired so these look lighter than they are in natural light!

The light one is a white leghorn and then a marans is the dark one in this photo

Based on their current laying patterns, you should get ample extra eggs. (One of the groups of the Easter Eggers will soon be turned into my Olive Egger pen later in 2011, so more interesting developments from the farm.)

The shipping is average based on our shipping rates. We ship eggs in the same way we would like to receive them. We bubble wrap each egg separately, putting in a regular box (not an egg carton) which is then cushioned and set in a larger box. These are not the prepaid priority boxes but we use the large boxes that can be ordered through USPS as the standard mailing box. Our mailing costs can often be higher than the prepaid boxes but we find that they arrive in better shape, so it's well worth the extra time, packing materials and shipping costs. Occasionally with a large order, we will use an even larger outside box. After carefully preparing you package we drive your eggs to the Post Office, where our local post office sets the egg shipments to the side to protect them. They are then placed on the truck on the top of all the other boxes! Even as carefully as we ship, we cannot guarantee that there will be no breakage in transit. We do not guarantee the percentage of your hatch as the incubators temperature and humidity are very variable. We will provide assistance to you during the hatch and help in every way possible to have the best hatch possible.

Payment for this auction will need to be through Paypal in order to ship on time!

I can't wait, I am on day 20 from this auction.
These eggs came from GA to IA - long haul. When I candled at lock-down all 12 eggs were viable. Some have some pretty misshapen air cells but they are kickin.
Did I mention I have several with pips? Yeah.
Moral of the story - GREAT EGGS, EGGSCELENT PACKING - Nancy is wonderful!

OK update, Day 21 in Iowa. I have 9 chicks hatched, 1 egg with a pip with start of zip, 2 resting still.
Bid them up people....I have hatched all different colors, 2 are lavender!!!!!! Also a couple light colored ones with some dark coloring on their backs, some brown/black and some blacks. Colorful hatch, sturdy chicks...wish I would have taken pics of some of the air cells, they were too big and misshapen (shipping)...but these little guys are fluffing up by the minute....very cute.

Please go here and see some of the babies that Chickee hatched from her Easter Eggers from The Garry Farm....There have been several other photos on earlier of these auctions. This is just one of the very fertile flocks here on the farm. We keep our rooster ratio high to insure good coverage and we check fertility throughout our mailing seasons. Here's the link and happy bidding:

Several of you have asked how we ship eggs. Please see my page (you can click button under the side tab) or see below:

Since I've received and shipped many eggs, I am so satisfied with this method we have developed! It takes over one hour and 30 minutes to wrap a dozen eggs, but the hatching results I'm getting are so convincing me that it is worth both the time and the expensive bubble wrap, packing peanuts and tape and time and gas to and from the post office!

Feel free to use this method but if you copy portions of it, Please do give full credit to The Garry Farm.

Thanks and have a blessed day and Happy Bidding....Farmer Nancy

Chickeemama, it could not have happened to a nice person in the world....I love The Garry Farm 100% hatches...We work so hard on our rooster to hen ratios and constantly check on fertility, motility of all eggs through incubation and reports.... I am going to fix them some cornbread made with duck and turkey eggs and some homemade buttermilk!!! Thanks for sharing!!!! You're so kind. and tell All the BABIES hello and love and kisses from Granny Nanny in west. GA!

OK! These are some SUPER chicks! I have had a blue chick giving the rooster warning call from the day it was born, and now this morning this chocolate colored chick stood up and crowed at 8 days old!
