HELP chick hatched with a severely crooked beak!

I'm not giving it much hope, but if there is anything I can do to try to help it let me know, or if you think it would be the nicest to just cull it now...
my immediate thought was to cull it, but It has such a strong will... it only has one eye and a severely deformed beak and was still able to hatch I feel it needs the chance to survive.
is there anyway to "help" straighten the beak out, or will it be completely permanant?

I've heard of people saving chicks with slightly crossed beaks but this is the worst of the worst. Chicks born without an eye usually die anyway (not considering the beak) because other internal problems are usually present as well. I would cull.

I haven't ever seen any chick that badly deformed. I'm one of those save it and give it a chance people, but not in this case. I wouldn't want anything to suffer and I think it would.

Yeah, culling seems to be the most sensible thing to do, but if you wish to raise the chick, perhaps you can feed it manually. As for the beak, maybe you can remove the upper mandible completely. Perhaps it will learn breathe through its mouth if it won't be able to breath through an inexistent nose.
 
If you don't cull it you might want to ask a vet if he can trim the beak so it's a little better for the bird. You don't want to hand feed a bird for the rest of its life...

I'm sorry...I have a cross beak chick myself...I'm worried about her too...she's not this bad...but I still think I'll have to put her down soon.

So what is the BEST painless way to nicely cull a chick? I wont have the heart to do it, I'll make my DH do it. I just want it to be a "nice" way....
