I bought 2 silky chicks a few weeks ago from a private breeder. One white and one blue.
This is my first time buying Silky's and I'm wondering if you can tell how full their feathers will be as an adult?

Also what do you think the sex is? I heard you have to wait for them to either crow or lay an egg lol but I'm really hoping I have 2 pullets here!

But something tells me Angel might really be an Angelo! Do you think these guys should fill out well and be pretty fluffy chickens?

All Silkies go through an awkward ugly stage, but they look like they will blossom into beautiful puffballs in about 2 or 3 months. And, yes, the white one looks a little masculine.

The blue looks like a girl. The white may be a roo but it's really too early to tell. If they are the same age and the white one has significantly larger legs and feet, then it's probably a boy. But you really need more time. i hope they are both girls, if that is what you are wanting. Both are very pretty!
