Silky chicks growing up.. Hen or Roo? *pics of them aging*

I agree that the white is probably a roo, but it is to early to tell for sure. I believe fifi is a girl.

yes the white one does look like a roo and they look like they will be beautiful silkies

They are beautiful!!! I can't wait to get my Silkies! I am no expert, but I would agree with the others... the blue one looks like a girl and the white one looks like a boy. Blessings! Blessings! Blessings!

I've been told by a few people that Fifi look like a partridge. Maybe I will just start calling her that lol. She does have this tinge of light brown on her neck. I can't wait to see how she looks as an adult.

I agree, with having a bunch of my own youngsters growing up right now, Fifi has the coloring like a pale patridge coming in (by the color alone and the comb and crest, I'm very sure its a girl) Angel looks like a roo - the comb, the stance/carriage, and the crest all look rooish

They are 3 months. I always go in and squaggle my hands on my hens backs to keep them thinking I'm their roo and in charge. Well I was curious and did this to my silkies (only 12 weeks old) I could have sworn that they both squatted a little?? Could I be wrong? The roo that is the same age as them started crowing yesterday. (Roo is a BSL)

OK so they are now almost 18 weeks old. My BSL rooster (same age) has been crowing for a couple weeks. Of the five 18 week-olds (1 BSL roo, 1 BSL hen, 1 RIR hen, and 2 silkies Fifi and Angel) nobody has laid any eggs. All the hens squat when you ruffle the feather's on their backs. It appears that both silkies do as well!! So I am crossing my fingers

and hoping they are both hens!!!!!!!

Updated pics... So if they are almost 18 weeks, does this mean they might start laying in the next 2 weeks?
