Just put 6 Chamois Sebright Eggs in tonight, this is my first time incubating and am VERY excited.

I think I'll join you. I'm double checking my new (to me) incubator works, but I have a few EE eggs with a BCM cockerel, so it'll be fun. I may put a white leghorn egg in too, just because I'm curious to see that cross.

I'll join you. I set 24 late in the evening on the 8th. 20 of my own eggs. 4 RIR, 16 BR/RIR cross, and 4 mystery eggs from a friend that I am not sure are fertile or not. My last hatch was a big ZERO. I had trouble with temp spikes, so I reconfigured my homemade incubation system to be hopefully steadier temp wise and am trying it again. I figure I will get the kinks worked out with my own eggs before I splurge on shipped eggs again...

Gosh, they've only been in one day and already I'm finding the waiting hard. I'm finding myself peering in at the incubator thinking 'grow chickies grow' about 10 times already.

I'm obsessing because I'm pretty sure my automatic egg turner isn't working.

I leave tomorrow for 4 days and can have someone check on the bator once a day, but not turn them every four hours. Ugh.

Oh no! I couldn't fit all 6 in and have them turn so I made a card base in mine and am having to hand turn too.
Good luck, hopefully 4 days of just being turned once won't harm them. How long have they been in? If its early days, you may be lucky.
