The Cream Legbar is a unique chicken breed that was imported to the US in January of this year by GFF. Cream Legbars are EXTREMELY rare in this country. I am the only breeder currently offering eggs for sale on BYC and there is only one other breeder with eggs listed on that other auction site.

The Cream Legbar is a beautiful breed that is also extremely functional. They are medium size and are excellent foragers. Cream Legbars are excellent layers of medium SKY BLUE eggs. The Cream Legbar is an auto sexing breed. Which means they will produce visually sexable chicks from generation to generation. Female CL chicks will have chipmunk stripes on their backs and male CL chicks will be lighter with a white spot behind their heads.

This auction is for 6 Cream Legbar eggs. We have experienced 100% fertility with our hatching eggs. Development has been fast with veins being visible no later than day 3 every time. As of this posting I have hatched 6 out of 8 eggs with a ratio of 3 pullets to 3 cockerels.

Priority shipping and delivery confirmation is included in the final price. Shipping to the lower 48 only. This is a paypal only auction due to the time sensitive nature of hatching eggs. This auction ends Sunday morning. I will need payment by first thing Monday morning so that I can ship eggs before leaving town for Christmas vacation. Please make payment to [email protected].

I DO NOT have control over the treatment of hatching eggs once they leave my hands. Therefore, I cannot guarantee your hatch rate. I DO guarantee that I will wrap and package each egg very carefully. I use foam AND bubble wrap to wrap each individual egg. Eggs are then placed into a flat rate priority shipping box with more packing material to ensure a snug fit. I have had a 100% success rate getting the eggs to customers without breaks.

Please feel free to PM with any questions. Thank you.

ETA- Shipping eggs is always a gamble. If you are not ready to assume the risk that shipping eggs entails, please do not bid. Thank you.

I have a purchased pair from GFF and have just begun to build my flock. At this point I have 4 cockerels to 3 pullets hatched out. Since Cream Legbars are so new to the US, most of those who have them only have a pair. Although I know of 2-3 that purchased 2 pairs from GFF.

Here are some pics of the CL chicks I have hatched out. I tried to get some shots that show the differences in male/female chicks. First two pics are of the first little pullet I hatched out. She is growing so fast!

GFF imported different lines of CL to the US. I plan to exchange chicks with others that I'm in contact with both locally and in a different state in order to create diversification.

Ok.. I saw the last auction for these birds...I have never heard of them...may I ask why they are soo high in price?

That is mainly why. They are new to this country and still so rare that a lot of people have never heard of them. Throw in blue eggs and auto sexing traits and you have a very desirable bird.

What's to guarantee that you got 2 different lines from GFF. And can you guarantee that anyone else in the U.S. has any different? Won't that just breed you into a genetic corner?
