Well good morning to you! Boy aren't you ambitious on this early Saturday morning?!?! You go girl!
Good morning to you! Dh has been out of work for three months and he just went in early this morning for orientation on a temp job. Sooo I was out of bread and wanted to make yours since it is so fast. I decided on two small loaf bread pans and trying some bread bowls. dh and I love soup in bread bowls. I am going to do the crust different than the loaves with the instructions given earlier in this thread for the bowls.
they turn out but may have made them too small? LOL

The whole wheat was amazing. I just used 2 cups of bread flour and 3
cups of whole wheat flour. It wasn't dense at all. I gave it a few extra
minutes to rise, both in the bowl and as a loaf before cooking. Next
time I'm gonna try 4 cups whole wheat and 1 cup bread flour.
P.C. you have me wanting to try it now since you say it isn't dense. Yum.
Here are my breads during their second risings. See..the bread bowls are not big enough.
Dh is bringing home more bread flour this afternoon.
Thanks, PC, looks like Ill be trying that today. Is the recipe as it is enough to put in 2 bread pans or should the recipe be tweaked to make just a little more?
No, Norma, I said that about the bread pans but don't know that for a fact. I have smallish bread pans and it would be three for me but if you had the nice reg. sized it may go in both?? Anyone out there know for sure?
Sorry, I don't even know what a bread pan is. This thread is my
first adventure into the world of breadmaking and you gals ROCK!!!
The whole wheat wasn't dense at all. The dough rose almost like
a soufle(spelling?). It shrunk down some when I rolled it but it puffed
right back up again.
Today me and the kid are gonna make some egg noodles. I'm just trying
to decide on the sauce. We may even make some meatballs.
