Just have to brag...I have 3 little Ameraucanas that have hatched out (1 is dry and the other 2 are almost dry), 2 with their beaks out, and 2 that haven't done a thing (keeping my fingers crossed for the last 4).
 
wicked-crazy wind last night! i was afraid for my safety when our evergreens started hurling pine cones at me!

and... ahhhhhhh, so much cooler today. it's a nice break. i LOVE the sun, but i also love the cooler days in between!
 
I think I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for too long...I was happy to wake up to gray skies this morning and get a break from the heat. My poor chickens yesterday, I went out to give them treats (leftovers from the kids
wink.png
) and they were so hot I had to put it all under their little tree.

Now if only it would rain so I could stop watering the garden.
 
I've just put my stuff in the ground, been watering it twice a day. This is my first garden, so I'm not expecting too much. Got lots of yummy stuff in there though. I still need to plant a few more things, but looking at those clouds I think I'll have to wait a few more days.
 
Hey does anyone know were u can buy and sell chickens (like teeneage almost adult???)

i really need to know i have two roos i really wanna sell and get two hens and i found a place in oregon but no way in heck im driving all the way there so HELP ME PLEASE!

I'm always seeing them on Craigslist. After I offer some of mine up for sale here I'll be putting the ones that don't sell on CL. Not quite sure which ones I'm going to sell.​

I have no idea where you are. I do know that they have an auction in Chehalis every Saturday and it is all small animals like chickens, ducks, geese, turkey and goats if they come in. We went last week and they had a lot of birds and eating eggs.​
 
You all need to pray for us for tomorrow is butcher day. I know the meat chickens will be tasty but it's the killing part that bugs me! I know the meat chickens are really stupid and are going to be delish. This is the first really big kill at our house, and this is summing up a bad week.
I lost all of the Black Sumatra chicks that I got last week. Major Bummer. I ordered them from Randall Burkey. I don't think I will do that again it takes to long for them to get to Washington. and they didn't send the whole order. I had to call them to get a refund on the
Welsummer chicks that they didn't send. They did refund me though. they should have called me to let me know that they couldn't send the chicks.
And since I am complaining I will have to say I am tired of dogs farting in the house. LOL
