Hey fellow BYCers. The 2009 picnic was a great success and it might be a great idea if we start planning our next one. I will be willing to help to help and act as a sounding board until we can come up with a consensus. We had too nice a time to not do another so jump in people.

So, it sounds like June is the preferred time to have it - anyone care to throw out date suggestions?

Rose, can we ask you to reserve the same park we used in 8/09 once we settle on a date?

Oh, NO! Thanks so much for alerting me, Sam! Rose and I chatted about her mom a few weeks ago, and she seemed to be doing well, then. This ROTS!

You know, I think that's why we decided June wouldn't work last year....I wonder if July would be better?

Vicki, I now what you mean! But, we could always do an early spring meet-n-greet elsewhere...?

I would like to come...I am fairly new to BYC but would love to come to a picnic somewhere. I am in Holland. Where do you guys usually meet? Is ionia State Park Central enough? It is beautiful there. My husband will give me a hard time about this forsure. He thinks I am chicken obsessed !

I'm open to any change of venue, however where ever it is we will need someone to step up and check the site, insure that there is no prohibition of having birds on site. We would need to have a pavillion for our meal. Also we would need to know if there is a cost involved; and make the necessary arrangements to quarantee of the site on the date we select. Personally I would favor a late May or June date.
