Food, chickens, friendly people - could it get much better?

I DON"T THINK SO!!!!!!

It primarily was an opportunity for us to be able to put names with faces. Many people brought birds and animals for sale and trade and some just to give away. However, if you you'd have seen the amount of food we had I think it was primarily an excuse to eat lots of wonderful food.

I think that it will be better because we will have more people attending.

The one we had in August was wonderful! I wished I hadn't missed the one at Fowl Fest. In August we had a great spot, secluded, just us, great pavillion, lots of shade, playground equipment for the kids, and so many wonderful people!! Oh and the food, wow!!

I would be game for a winter (indoor) get together also, but I am definitely looking forward to the picnic one again too!

You know, the more I think about it, the more I think maybe it would be best to just have it at the same location next summer....thoughts?

The thing I ran into when finding a place to hold is that most parks will not allow chickens. It was frustrating and annoying, but this place was happy to host us! A few park employees even came around toward the end and helped to clean up, chatting with us, and admiring all the chooks!
