Okay the black one shall be named Ebony. So, we have a Rose and an Ebony...now for that blue. hmmmmmmm must think on this....
what about one of these....my likes are in bold italics
shades of blue for her color:
Azure
Sapphire
Star (as in star Sapphire)
Tiffany
Iris
Indigo
Majorelle
Zaffre
fabric types to go along with the "Suede" theme:
baize (course napped cotton or wool)
barege (gauzy fabric of silk, cotton, wool, or worsted)
barracan (fine silk cloth)
camaca (fine silk fabric)
cendal (silk fabric resembling taffeta)
challis (soft lightweight silk, wool or cotton fabric)
delaine (light fabric of wool or mixed wool and cotton)
georgette (thin silk)
moreen (stout corded wool or cotton)
perse (dark blue or bluish-grey; cloth of such a colour)
ramie (strong lustrous fabric resembling linen or silk)

I like Iris, and it can relate to her hatchmate (Rose), too!
I think (maybe) you should consider a boy name for each one, just in case!

I had an Iris (now lockedhearts has her), but she was named that because the spangling down her chest looked like a bearded iris.

Iris - one of my fav flowers, goes with Rose like Kathy said, and if (Oh, horror and dread) it turns out to be a roo, you could change it to Ira.

Okay...I think I have made up my mind Cyn.... what about Baize or Perse (pur say)? both are unisex as is Ebony...and we KNOW Rose is a girl...yes yes. I am leaning towards Baize....what do you think?
