Two days ago, I got a brand new phone, a Motorola Backflip with Android. It's a nice phone, normally $500.00, but I got it for $80.00.

Fast forward to yesterday. I went out on the boat with some buddies, and we all jumped in. I thought i was so smart, I brought my phone in case we broke down. What I wasn't so smart about was I left it in my pocket!

As sooon as I noticed (10 minutes later...) I quick jumped out and tried to revive it. No dice. URGGHH!!! WHY COULDN"T IT HAVE BEEN TWO DAYS AGO WHEN I HAD A CHEAP PHONE!!!!!

Anyways, it's in a bag of rice with the battery/sim/memory out. Hopefully it will revive, because the insurance doesn't cover it until 30 days after! GAAH!

I AM SUCH A DOOFUS!

It's why I stopped wearing watches, I was always jumping in and forgetting I had one on.
 
Hm... You need my old indestructible phone. I dropped it in the lake... Twice. My horse bit it (same horse who bit one of those old quarter size shuffles in half). I dropped it on concrete, left it in the chicken coop. Even drove over it once, but the phone survived. Surprisingly, my new phone which can easily break, has only been dropped twice! And I've had it for a year and a half! I'm so proud.

Sorry about your phone though... Did you try blow drying it with the battery out? That's saved many a phone at the lake.
 
My phone was soooaked and we did the rice. I put the battery, the sim card, and the phone in a big thing of rice and then set the rice in the sun. You're warranty probably won't cover it because it's water damage. Most don't do water damage, there is a little indicator on the battery and the phone that changes color when wet.

I let mine sit for three days and it worked. Don't try cutting it on before at least a day because that can fry it.
 
whatever you do never tell them that the there is a colored dot on it or if they ask you what color the dot is...say what dot? It's a marker to them that it got wet and some places wont cover that.
