I can't seem to get it to work, it automatically shows the avatar that I've always had...I even deleted it and it went right back to it when I tried to upload a new one. Am I doing it wrong?

Try refreshing your browser and see if that helps.
Now I just need to figure out what to use as an avatar...

Glad everybody is happy... that's hard to do with 60k members!
FYI: Depending on your browser you may need to "force refresh " your browser to dump the "cache" of your image on your PC. Usually holding CTRL and then hitting F5 will do it!

Thanks Nifty! i was tired of having to keep cropping and resizing, it took a long time to get the avatar the right size
