.......... but i will share anyway. I have worked on this for about a year to get the right balance. Dont question the A1 sauce as an ingredient, just DO IT!

Fred's (aka DENALI) JAMBALAYA

2 16oz cans of red kidney beans
2 16oz can of diced tomatoes
1 medium chopped white onion
1/2 cup bell pepper diced
2 hill shire farm smoked sausage rings
1/4 cup fresh jalapenos diced (or to taste)
1/2 cup A-1 sauce
1/4 cup lea and perrins Worcestershire sauce
2 boxes uncle ben's roasted garlic long grain and wild rice
(if roasted garlic not available just get long grain & wild rice)
add water for rice

low heat for 1 hour
add water when needed

You can also add cubed chicken or shrimp or whatever to it as well as more jalapenos if you like it spicier

I just copied and printed that. I am so MAKING THAT for dinner next week after I hit the grocery store. Thank you for sharing your recipe

Thanks for posting - I will go out and buy that horrid sauce that you mentioned just to try this recipe. A-1 is banned in our house!

It looks like it is going to be a steamy weekend here - just the right time to try out Jambalaya!
 
It is quite good isnt it! Even though it looks good in the picture it just doesnt do it justice until you taste it. Nice thing about it is you can add different meats to it etc that you have laying around as left overs or whatever. The key part of it was to get the basic flavor balanced to begin with. The amount of peppers i have in this recipe is enough for a small kick to it but nothing your grandmother shouldnt be able to handle. I myself add a couple extra peppers to it when i am cooking a batch just for me and the wife.
Problem i have ran into is i made the mistake of making it for xmas eve family get together. Now anytime we have a family function (b-days, reunions, holidays, you name it) i'm required by everyone to make a batch. But it is easy so no biggie.
