You can't post pictures yet because you are considered new (I guess it stops spammers). Once you have enough posts (which is determined by their system) then you can have a profile and post pictures. See here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=1198

Hope
that helps!

hot days!!! Glad you have power again Cricket! It always sucks when you lose groceries

One time we lost power a few years ago and I had to use up a freezer full of meat and so we invited friends over and I used almost everything in the freezer so it at least wasn't a complete waste.
I've been leaving the brooder light off because it's just been too hot! Yesterday they scared me because I hadn't turned the light off yet and the chicks had started panting!

I ran them outside where there was a breeze and they were fine in about a minute. Been carefully monitoring the brooder temp since then...don't need to have popcorn chicks!!

Well we missed the storms that were predicted for Muskegon County! Here in Twin Lake it was just plain Hot. The best thing about today was the nest of baby snakes I found in the strawberry bedding. Just garters but still fun.

Well, I got a lot of chores done today in the heat and feel pretty good that. Would have been done sooner but I kept getting interupted by people popping in.
After being asked what I was doing for the weekend for the 3rd time, I thought I should take a look the calendar.

Chickenstock is in 3 1/2 weeks. Seems like only yesterday that I heard about it.

The calendar also tells me that I've had my big chicks for 10 weeks, ducks for 7 and the new chicks for 5. Wow, I should be getting eggs any day now.
