They turned 18 weeks old yesterday so new pics were in order. The Delawegger, Ranger, is 12 weeks and is living with them until someone takes him to a new home. Rex is still not crowing. Included a picture of Rex's back saddle area because I love the precision of the barring there.
Gloria Jean--she is the reddest in the face now:
Shelby, the Olive Egger:
Wynette:
Ida:
Maretta:
Ranger:
Didn't get an individual pic of Dottie. She was in my lap, silly girl.
Look how red in the face my Gloria Jean is! She and the others will be 19 weeks on Wednesday. And Rex still isn't crowing! One of the BR girls, the one in the pic to the left of GJ, was investigating the nests today.
Here's Rex:
And this 13 week old Ranger, who seems to be 1/2 stork and 1/2 giraffe, is still here. This guy needs a home soon. He's getting jumpy and skittish from being shuttled from Rex's coop to the bantam coop to free ranging with his broody mama, but now, Nugget is completely rejecting him so he just has no place here that he feels settled. He really deserves his own girls (before he fertilizes Rex's!).

Cyn they're so pretty. Gloria Jean is such a pretty 'gal, to say the LEAST!
Is she a Blue/Splash Rock?
What ever she is, me like!
Rex is a big'n ain't he!

Thanks, Aspen. Rex is so gangly right now! I can't wait till he fills out that lanky frame of his. He's very sweet so far, but not mating (that I've seen) and not crowing. He's sure taking his time maturing. Gloria Jean is a splash Rock. She's very petite next to those chunky BR girls, such a lovely thing. I love seeing her every day.

I have several boys that are much smaller than Rex, but are every bit as gangly. Ohh...I've got to try and find some hatching eggs for Splash Rocks now!!
