They sure do grow quickly! Here is my Silver Phoenix, who is about 20 weeks old, showing interest in the nest boxes, while my poor old RIR tries to expel whatever is in her clogged oviducts in too-small bantam sized nests. She hasn't been laying so she and the other elderly hen I have left are living in the bantam coop with the D'Anvers and my Phoenix, Molly.

The Silver Phoenix laid her first two eggs this week. Way to go, Molly!

Snapped two pics of Rex today at 16 weeks old. He's still such a calm, sweet boy, but still no crowing. Guess I should be happy since the four D'Anver males are crowing enough for 50 BR boys!

Sent you a PM.

They're over 16 weeks old now. Rex is still not crowing, but is chasing the Delawegger male all over the pen. Rex has had a major height spurt and those long legs give him an ungainly, lanky appearance. Now, he has to bulk up to grow into those legs! He's super sweet, which makes it hard to get pics since he usually comes and flops down at my feet for a back rub, but I managed to get a few today, including one accidental action shot. Here he is with some of his girls.

First here is Maretta, 1/2 BW Ameraucana, 1/2 EE
