I'm just happy that the old Suedenator still has it! Fertility is in and out in that pen, due to his "defective" women, as LH would tell it, LOL. Dusty hasn't had a chick hatch in probably two years and the blue and two blacks belong to her! I can't even recall what she used to throw, but Smoky has again produced a big old splash boy for us. LH has some daughters of Smoky, one of my late Velvet's daughters, but none of Dusty's kids until now.

I think there are 2 pair in that group....or a trio and an extra. Wonderful! Oh how Zeus reminds me of Thor except his eyes...they are darker than Thor's. hehehehehe He has big shoes to fill but I think he has the feet for it.

HorseFeathers I am beyond thrilled....at first I was a bit unsure and a wee sad but Thor has been gone over a year now and while I still miss him every day I know he would be proud of Zeus too and want him here. And I lost most of Thor's girls this summer to this horrendous heat (only 2 survived it) so they are with Thor and now Zeus can start a new flock for me. Lancelot my big lovable brave blue orp will keep the remaining three girls and Zeus will have these and more than I give him, so I am thrilled.
 
They went outside today and Atlas had his first real dustbath in actual dirt. I'm about to call Zeus a girl, I swear. The wing top feathers are coming in much more quickly than I remember any Orp males feathering in. Atlas is just now starting to sprout them-I know he's a male because he crowed at 4 days old. In fact, the splash, one black and the blue all have nice little tails and wing top feathering already. The blue is 16 days old and the others are 20 days old. Am uploading some very short videos of Atlas's dustbath for LH.

Oh and YOU Ms. Moderator .... I am shocked that you have not posted a notice or something for the staff and other Moderator's advising them of Suede perfectness and his substandard, defective women. How could you not let them know that any fertility issue in that pen is the fault of those women...I mean look at Dusty...no babies for a couple fo years and the Suede says "Babies woman NOW and voile' I have Dusty babies.
