Well. I have no pictures (that are close enough). to show what they look like. Nor can i find any on feathersite or google. But if you know what roosters saddle feathers look like. they look like that, if not.. they will look like sickles hanging down, or "daggers". if that doesn't help at least i gave you a bump so someone can show you

I imagine that is Zane in first pic, at least. Do hope all is at least going okay....
 
Actually that is Hawkeye, Zane's father, way back when I got him in late 2006. Had to do a lot of "renovating" on him, but I'm so happy I had him. He was battle scarred (figuratively and literally), was missing parts of his comb, had scar tissue in one wattle, etc. He wasn't show quality, but he was QUALITY all the way. Sure miss him around here. I took pics of his hackle area because when I got him, it was completely yellow/gold from eating an all-corn diet. After a month of proper feed and care, all the gold disappeared.
I'll update everyone on Zane in a new thread.
