It was!!! I was sooo excited!! The egg color was pretty normal for her. The darker egg in that photo is from a Plymouth barred rock. I’ll try to post a photo of the double yoke. It was 3oz. And the dark brown egg was 2oz.

Awesome! My girls (six, various breeds) have been laying for months and I've only had one double yolk like that!

Awe that is so much fun!! I have 3 girls, they have been laying for about a month. But I don’t think double yokes should happen often?

We got a double yolker last month. We were so excited! My sister had a red sex link hen that laid a double yolker every day, and she couldn’t fit them even in a jumbo egg carton. Unfortunately that hen only lived about a year.

Wow poor sweetie! I’m sure she lived a happy life even if it was only a year.

Yep, she was very spoiled! My sis is a good chicken mama.
