Reggie is isolated from the hens on day one because he freaked out, danced in front of everyone (including the Buff Orp cockerel), and mated a couple molting hens. Needed separating. Here my son is taking a video of him, and after he got done crowing, BB & Tricky get into it in the coop. This is the surprised look on his face.

Pullets trying to integrate. Planning to leave them separated for 7 more weeks, when the pullets will be 5 months old. Our rooster was about 1/2" from cage where they meet and Daisy (the friendliest pullet) pecked at him. lol. He seems to take quite the interest in the buff orpington and she in him. Happy how it is going so far. Tinker bell (leghorn) seems to enjoy the move the most, making herself right at home. She hopped onto the center roost right beside the screen and was quite content, while the others decided they would sleep in the doorway ... neither in or out. We helped them in and shut the door (which is screen). Weather really nice right now so imagine everyone thought they moved somewhere great. In morning, all were on roost (probably saw how the old flock sleep).

Altered coop so it has a lot more ventilation at the top and can stand upright in the coop (in the center). Removed the fenced in front and turned it into coop space, so now the coop is twice the size (to accommodate newbies). Only way to divide this coop in half (the way it was built) is as shown. The original flock must have the side with the nesting boxes.
