Altered the run on the right side to 6' tall (from 4'). Enjoying the freedom to walk around vs always bending over. The recently acquired pullets are in the 10x10 cage in that little coop. They have really outgrown that coop but don't seem to be aware of it.

5/22/16 Friendlier to us now, she is very sweet, and it is hard to imagine her always chasing Hermoine AKA Tricky around. Tricky is on the bottom of the pecking order.

5/22/16 Back area is getting these little weird feathers here and there. She is getting a lot more under her wings, and on the front and back of her neck.

5/22/16 In her area (she goes in the carrier and into the house at night, where we can walk around in a wire dog cage). She goes to bed at 8:00 pm and is up by 7:30 am when she jumps onto my lap for a little petting and to be taken outside.

5/14/16 Six days have passed and feathers are sporadically re-growing. Sectioned off a portion of the run so she has more room and some "comforts of home".

5/8/16 Hilde AKA bare butt has let Mattie AKA google eyes (because until recently she has been wearing pin-less peepers) pull her feathers out ... she just stands there and allows it. She had an apron on until recently, and when we took that off we noticed there were no feathers beneath. So we believe Mattie has been lifting her apron and picking her feathers. Now little bare butt (not on the bottom of the pecking order) has been separated so she can re-grow feathers.

Our new view of our chickens. Wheel is removed and that problem area will be fixed before we move it again (3 or 4 weeks). Chickens quite happy with new location of lots of weeds and bugs to explore. The bare spot in front is where the coop was, and we are getting ready to put grass fertilizer down (10/10/10). Hope this gives you ideas.

Disaster strikes!! The wheel gives out and the board holding it cracks! This is the large run, heavier than the shorter run. Highly recommend a better wheel situation here. Will replace 2X4 with uni-strut like on the short run.

Entry way installed and the jack on the back of the coop is lowered to hold it in place. Then we lower the wheels and it is in place.

We line up the entry way to reinstall the run. Since it is not that heavy weight, we can pick up the end fairy easy to square it/ line it up.

Have the back held up by lifting the 12" of extra screen (predator/ no digging) and placing it on two screws that are permanently there for this reason.
