Black Copper Maran Hen and Cream Legbar Roo Mix

I bought them from a local lady. Not sure if they are pure bred or not. I'm just hoping for Olive eggs. Most of mine are barred. In fact, all my Roos are definitely barred but they aren't pictures. The bottom chick has me concerned that she is just a BCM or a F2 Olive Egger. Hoping for an F2 but...

Black Copper Maran Hen and Cream Legbar Roo Mix

Hey! I am wondering if anyone has mixed a Black Copper Maran Hen with a Cream Leg Bar Rooster to get Olive Eggers? I have read where many have put a BCM rooster over a CLB Hen and they were still able to autosex the chicks. Does this work if with the BCM Hen and CLB Roos? I have a few 3 week old...

    Black Copper Maran Chicks?

I have BCMs and they looked just like that as chicks. I also have a Buff Maran which lays beautiful dark speckled eggs. In my experience, the pullets developed tails and feathers faster than the roos. Karan's grow very quickly but are my favorite breed! I have kept BCMs, Blue Copper Marans, and...

So I have 3 8-week chicks that are sick, one is on the verge of dying I think. Olive, my olive Egger is standing in a corner all fluffed up. She is eating and drinking just a little. No energy. She has watery poop and sometimes looks like it is in small pellets. No blood though. Also her front...

    4 week chicks with roundworms

Help! I just found out my chickens are infested with roundworms (I've seen the worms) and my 4 week chicks have been outside during the day since it is 85 degrees here. They have recently started having bad diarrhea and I believe they may have worms too. What can I do?? Help please! They are...

Black Copper Marans - Time progression of sexing - UPDATED with WEEKs #1-3 PICTURES

Yes they are full blooded, came from a breeder and I know the parents of the chicks. They are from a BCM mom and CLB roo so these don't have spots but I have seen some the other way around that have spots. I'll post egg pics when the girl starts laying : )

    Buff Orpington?

Here she is at 7 weeks- she is such a sweetie! I'm guessing she is a BO mix since she looks like a BO but with spots across her neck and foot coloring is off.

Black Copper Marans - Time progression of sexing - UPDATED with WEEKs #1-3 PICTURES

Updated chick pics at 2 weeks. The chickadees are 1/2 cream Legbar and 1/2 FBCM. They are so cute but are much more skittish than my previous chicks, hoping they will calm down the more I handle them. Any sex guesses are welcome! Chick 1: Patchy: small, rounded average comb, not fast...
