Hi, Sadly we lost our little Sebbie girl Agatha yesterday. We have 2 super africans which leaves Arthur on his own. Would it be better to try and get him an adult goose or would I be able to get him to accept goslings. I cant put him with the africans at the moment due to breeding season but... -

Anyone try those alfalfa/timothy cubes?
I have tried the Timothy pellets meant for horses and NOPE disgusting according to all four of our geese might try again but otherwise a bag of wasted food. Ours are very picky it seems though. -

When do they quit laying our African female started beginning of Feb and is still laying every other day. She has no desire to sit on a clutch. They have both started to molt. -

Sorry to hear your news, could they have wandered across the road and got into some poison (maybe roundup) Also check your scratch we had a bag mold last year after it got hot. Hopefully someone more knowledgable will chime in. -

I am sorry to hear that Goose girl how heart breaking. I have the option to take her to Indy where there is a board certified avian vet, not very happy with the one we used but that's another story. Just been called by the vets office to say the lab fudged the blood test so she now has to go... -

Our Sebbie girl, went to the vet last week after she went off her food and was diagnosed with protozoan parasites. So onto Metronidazole she went and told to call if she still wasn't eating and they would do x rays and blood tests. Called told to wait til she finished her medication. So it has... -

Sorry to hear about the loss of Freida Mother2Hens its very upsetting, we lost frickle one of the speckled Sussex to a hawk last week so they are on lock down. Darn thing hopped down from a tree. Our African Han has started laying 4th egg due today, the gander is a prat and has taken to attacking water and feed buckets think we have it sorted now. They are both 8 months so should we be taking the eggs away? The sebbies well the male is besotted with my husband and keeps trying to mate... -

Unfortunately the testosterone has kicked in so after the feed bowl the smaller water bucket had to be killed!!!! Oh and big ole doofus is fine thank you. Now the sebbie gander has joined in and is trying to mate with my husbands leg!!!! He is somewhat confused. Hopefully colder weather might...
