This shelter is for goats? Really as long as they can get out of the rain and they have enough space, they will be fine. We turned an old "tree house" into a shelter for them and they love it. Just don't let them get wet, they HATE rain and it can make them sick!!
I would make sure this time to give her plenty of hay all the time, if you see her making a nest or pulling fur give her a box, even if its early! I had one doe I didn't even think was pregnant and didnt give her a box cause she was about 3 weeks along, and was going to wait till she tried...
I have a bengal cat who is probably 3 years old? She is a little, different, upstairs if you know what I mean... She has been peeing in weird places lately, and I'm not sure why or how to fix it! I got a new dog and I think it scares her, but they're getting along better. She's an indoor cat...
I know I'm late to post, but leave a bunch of the eggs in the nest boxes, and then put spearmint leaves all in the best boxes! Our speckled Sussex went broody that way, even when nothing worked! And I have read feeding extra calcium can help too..
Leave a bunch if the eggs in there, then sprinkle some fresh spearmint all in the coop, and some in/next to the nest boxes. We did it and our hen went broody the next day!
I know I'm late to post, but I have tried and tried to get my hens to go broody and nothing worked. Then a friend of my moms told us that putting some fresh spearmint, and lemon balm can make them go broody. She put some spearmint in their coop, next day out speckled Sussex goes broody! Go figure.
I don't believe he is sickly, his backbone shouldn't be showing because he is a very good eater! And last time I pet him, which wasn't that long ago, he had soft good fur. The owner and I just think he eats a lot and bloats.
Our goat had these babies in feb. and we gave them to a family friend. Clyde's (the boy) stomach keeps bulging out while Bonnie is fine? They eat all the same stuff, exempt Bonnie gets grain. Clyde is a wether, any ideas on why he keeps doing this? [/IMG]
