Hi, I bred a Buff Silkie rooster with some red frizzled cochin hens, in hopes to start sizzle line. However, the first three chicks came out black!? So I'm confused as to how buff and red parents can breed black chicks?
She said some have feathered feet and some don't. My guess then would be Marans as the French line has feathered feet while the American line doesn't. But I didn't see Blue Marans listed on Cackle
These two blue chicks were ordered by a friend from cackle hatchery. They ordered 50 assorted heavies. This is the only breed I'm stumped on. I thought it to be a lavender Orpington, but they have dark beaks and legs, and these chicks do not. I've went through cackles list of breeds and...
Haha yup :) I was just reviewing the posts in this thread and saw a lot of criticism. Just want to make sure what I'm buying is going to be good quality because I don't know much about Rhodebar. I'm wanting to start breeding and selling.
Yeah I have 3 golden sebrights including him. 2 roosters and I hen. The other rooster I have looks just like your pic. He has a toes comb. This guy just has a single comb.
And I believe the rooster in my pic is a white black tailed Japanese bantam. Though I'm not 100% sure on that either
That's what I thought. But see I'm trying to sell him simply because I have to many Roos. But I'm advertising him as a Golden Sebright, and everyone is saying he's not a Sebright. And there's no such thing as Gold Laced OEGB. So idk
I bought this 4 month old rooster as a chick from the local feed store. I need help with his breed. The most obvious answer would be Golden Sebright. But he has a straight comb instead of a rose comb, so it makes me wonder. Any help would be much appreciated.
