    Would you diagnose this as bumblefoot?

    She has a bump between her toes. She is a 3yo Buff Orpington and is acting normal. No limping. I'm going to go clean the bottom of her foot to look for a black spot.

    Also, she's not jumping...a sign of the lethargy. I have to pick her up and out of the run to free range and put her back in the coop at night. Poor thing tried to roost under the coop since she couldn't make it in.

    I got a normal egg from Sweet Pea today! I was in the coop when she laid it...she seemed to have a hard time pushing it out. Made more noise than the other girls usually do....I'm just glad to see things working properly :)

    Hello, There were no symptoms. She was fine in the afternoon and dead in the evening. There were absolutely no symptoms that we could see. The vet said a ruptured liver would be a quick death.

    Sorry for your loss :( It could be so many things. I had one do that last year. We did a necropsy and found her liver had ruptured.

    I am very lucky and our state poultry vet lives about 2 minutes from me. He did a necropsy for free out of the back of his truck. My girl had died of a liver rupture :(
