I just bought these two marans. What do we think ? They are both very similar. Both are almost 7 months old. Do they seem like good breeders ?

Thank you :) , they are both fairly docile. Both are also pretty much identical. Frontal view you can see they look hefty/thic but from the side profile they look slim and tall.

I ended up deciding with the 2 Roos that came together. There was more siblings to pick from, I liked these best out of the rest. They are a lot bigger than I expected, size wise (witch I love). They are gentle giants! Their sisters eggs are a nice shade also. Maybe a (7) on the marans spectrum...

Roo # 1 is 8 months old and Roos #2 are 7 months.

Very normal ! 😄 plenty of breeds have such cute characteristics making them different. Could be extra feathering, lack of feathering, curly feathers or extra long feathers or even extra toes! Makes them unique :)

Yes ! That is the plan. Always have an extra just in case. There are to many viscous stray cats around where I live 😬
