I have a new hatchling who is only an hour old or so. It was being picked on for a while, and once we saw blood, we pulled it out and put it in it's own space under a chick heater. Is this the vent or belly button? Is it treatable?

I'm not sure why I didn't get notified that you commented. I'm sorry! The foot fell off. I have been in contact with a number of people who have had happy, healthy chickens with one foot. :-) She is doing well!
I have a hen who lost a foot to frost bite. The foot finally fell off (took 7 weeks) two days ago. Well... the bone is exposed and is bearing all of the weight. It’s pointy... my gut tells me it needs to be shaved or something.
