Someone on another thread mentioned mixing sevin dust in melted Vaseline, then using the cooled Vaseline on the legs. Could this be done using the elector or permethrin instead?
I have a large mixed flock of chickens, turkeys, ducks, and want to treat them all efficiently.
I bought a plastic tub, and drilled holes in the lid. I have wood pellets inside to soak up spills. I use a small whisk broom to sweep the top off daily. This is on one end of their brooder. It has done a great job keeping the bedding dry. (At least for the first week.) I'm sure my challenges...
Thanks. I took the lid off of their feeder too, and put it close to the water. The way they weren't crazy for it makes me think the lid was confusing them.
Hey @aart - sorry for the no show!!! My daughter bought chicks - and left them at my house. They never did close in that shed. I'm a little disappointed because I thought it would be perfect for them!

My daughter just bought a house that has an area she would like to turn into a coop. The carport has a lean to built off of one side. She wants turn that into small coop for 3-4 birds. The area is about 6ft x 3 ft, and about 6 feet tall. It was last used for storage. I just need some...
I would think you could very easily use something else. Those little dollar store plastic baskets with holes drilled in the bottom for ventilation, craft plastic mesh made into a basket, or even ordering a new tray from Brinsea are the ideas I have right off the bat. I think the key would be...
