Review by '' on item 'Leghorn'

I got my three white leghorns as day old chicks. I hand raised them and tried to interact with them a lot knowing that they are a flighty breed. Well they are still extremely flighty, my handling didn't help. This past winter my three other red chickens went through their molt and the leghorns...

please say she's an amerucana….. Black and gold?

It was as white my leghorns eggs. It was on the ground in the middle of the run. So I guess there's a slight chance one of the leghorns laid it but they are normally really good about going in the nesting boxes. I will watch her today. Food Scraps?

I doubt they will eat the banana peels. and i have heard that onions aren't good for chickens but people keep saying on here that they do it. I would be careful with chicks, make sure they've had exposure to enough grit to help them digest. and make sure things like carrots are cut small enough...

    Food Scraps?

I buy layer pellets. I've never bought crumble so I don't know if they'd prefer that

    Food Scraps?

I feed my chickens all sorts of scraps, but usually its left over veggies. I don't generally give them meat because i don't eat meat, but they do get plenty of bugs from the garden and the occasional mouse that ventures into the coop. I get a kick out of giving them left over spaghetti...

Laying an egg without a shell?

I am curious how people determine which chickens are laying which eggs? I have 3 red hens and I know one of them has a tendency to lay soft eggs maybe once a week during this time of year. I wish i could figure it out and prevent her from breeding or perhaps try to supplement her specially. Do...

Laying an egg without a shell?

Well other people are finding it funny... I have never done that it's just a saying that someone told me once. And I added the whole dog food thing cause other people are saying they do that.
