The anticipation is killing me!

Baby quail chick died in hand
Don't beat yourself up! I've had a chick died after hatching - it got stuck behind my tray of sponge water, I had 3 other chicks pipping and I had to decide to open or not open the incubator. I didn't :( It took less than 5 minutes for him - he wasn't squished, he just couldn't figure out how... -

Congrats! The earliest hatch I had was on Day 14! While I'm trying to lock down the incubator :) They're so cute when they're chicks - i wish they just stayed that size forever and never grew up to be stinky LOL -
