    Roosting?

When I first got my hen at a month old, she would always roost but lately (now six months old and starting to lay) she won't even touch the roosting stick. Is there something I should be worried about?

    Show off your chickens!

I don't know if there is already a thread like this but post pics of your chickens, rooster's and/or hen's. I'm interested in seeing the variety of breeds out there.

I believe the rooster is over a year old and my hen is around 6 months. Now, is it possible to introduce my friends rooster to my hen for a short time so...

    Freshly laid eggs.

D'Angelo N Va. : If the shell is not dirty, don't bother washing it. You only need to wash it, the eggs are dirty/lightly soiled. As far as the refrig. that is personally up to you. I myself almost hardly ever put my eggs in the refrig. even. Unless it's hot as haites in the house, in which...

So before storing it in the refrigerator, you "must" wash it? What if the egg shell isn't dirty at all?

    Freshly laid eggs.

So it doesn't really matter if you refrigerate a warm egg right away?

    Freshly laid eggs.

Yeah hah, my hen actually lays almost at the same time of the morning so it's pretty easy for me to know when to look. But as for my question, in your opinion, would you place warm eggs straight into the refrigerator?

    Freshly laid eggs.

Hey people! Do you guys put freshly laid eggs right into the refrigerator while it's still warm? Or let it cool for awhile?
