I have had backyard chickens for the last 5 years. I currently have 8 chickens of varying ages - the oldest being 5 and the youngest being 2.

thank you for the response! So I used permethrin spray for the coop and did a dip for the flock last Wednesday. I was planning on repeating the spray for the coop this week and then dusting each bird this week.

Thank you and Wyrop Rock! You were right, I had two tele visits with my doctor over the weekend and am definitley having an allergic reaction to something, and I do not have a mite infestation (thank goodness). Thank you both!
I did see mites on one of my chickens - however I haven’t seen any on my self or in the house. My husband and son are not having any issues but they didn’t not handle any of the chickens.
