Chick unable to walk properly, need help identifying disease/injury/deficiency

Well shoot! I was misinformed. The only reason I added it was to keep them “warmer” in the colder months. Hopefully removing it helps. I’ll reintroduce later in smaller amounts.

Chick unable to walk properly, need help identifying disease/injury/deficiency

Good to know. We recently introduced the scratch for winter, so maybe they’re neglecting their regular feed and just eating the corn 🤔

Thanks for the link. How long would you say it took to see progress? I hate seeing him struggle.

They have access to unlimited amounts of all flock and scratch grain at all times. I give a handful or two of scraps daily.

Chick unable to walk properly, need help identifying disease/injury/deficiency

I have a young chicken, about 2 months old. Last week he and one of his siblings began walking on their hock joints. I brought them indoors and made sure they had access to feed and water, they were eating and drinking well. I couldn’t find any injuries. I lost one of them 2 days later. He...

Broody egg hoarder hen! Let her hatch all of them of or downsize?

Also! I left Lolita with 8 eggs that seemed more developed than the others when I candled them. Lots of movement and big ol eyeballs. 1 hatched on its own, 3 attempted hatching, 1 was assisted, 3 stopped developing at some point. I think they would have been successful if we hadn’t reach triple...
