Our Little Flock
Hi! My name is Beth(the more frequent poster of the two of us) and I am excited about my new hobby! About a year ago I stumbled across BYC.com when we were talking about wanting chickens and I figure I should start reading up on care and such, but I never registered until...
once you start to use coupons more frequently and start saving more and more, it really gets addictive and becomes almost a game to see how much you can save each time vs. how much you pay out of pocket. I definitely am not to the extreme that this show portrays, but I have my stock of cereals...
i am leaning towards d'uccle too. look at the muffs! awe so cute. give it a little time. then post another pick when it starts to feather pretty good, and we will have a better guess
how old are they? your rooster should have shiney tail feathers and pointed feathers on his head and neck and back
also, roosters crow and hens lay eggs
ok after looking over bookoos of pictures of buff silkies and other color varieties, I am beginning to think maybe the ones with the darker backs and markings on the wings are Red silkies!! could it be?! guess we will see!
also wanted to add, that I usually send stuff home with anyone that comes to visit me, if they need anything. and when we go to the beach and stay with my sister in law and her family (for free) I always bring her lots of stuff as a thank you and a form a payment! she is very appreciative

my stores have already gone into more detail with their coupon policies.
as for J'aime and all her mustard. as a seasoned couponer and mild stockpiler .39 per bottle of mustard is way too much to pay as a stock up price. maybe if I get 3 or 4 at that price but certainly not that many...
so buff silkies have the darker marking on their wing feathers and back?
eta: looked on feathersite to see what kind of pics they might have, and I am still stumped. who knows?! but they are so cute...and keeping my fingers crossed that they aren't all boys. will be watching them closely
their little poofs are smaller than I have seen, but I chock that up to hatchery stock. I have learned not to expect the best quality coloring or markings from them. but that is ok, they are for looks and cuteness...and they sure have that!!
this pic shows their poofs a little better. no...
