It’s hard to say. Their voices are still baby-ish but seem to be a little deeper. My other ducks didn’t acquire their adult voices until around 8 weeks. Then I knew which was which lol. I’m hoping these are females, like many are, but I was just curious if anyone experienced could tell yet
This fuzzy duo are Pon and Zi. If I was told the correct age when I bought them, they are 5-6 weeks old. Any idea as to gender? I know it’s hard to tell right now. And it’s gloomy so the picture color isn’t quite right but their feet are a muddy brown with darker splashes on top and their...
I keep one roo and about 8-10 hens in one flock. I have 4 teen chickens in the grow out pen, and two sets of brooders with babies still on heat. One has 2-3week olds and the other has my 1 week olds. And I have an incubator full 😂. I’m raising the babies until we can find out what gender...
All of the same colored ones have slightly fluffy legs. One has 5 toes like my girl and one which I call Odd Thomas has five on one foot and 4 on the other! The others all have 4 but that could be from my blrw roo.
I have several groups. My oldest are 13 weeks. My youngest are 3 weeks. I’ve got 7 or 8 week olds too. We waited for treats with my adult ducks until they were mature, but I was just curious what others give.
I have a salmon faverolle hen and a BLRW roo. My friend has lavender orp and quite a few other breeds. I should have marked the eggs when I incubated them, but hindsight is 20/20! Any thoughts as to whether these may be from my flock or his? It’s not a dispute over who gets them, I’m just...
I would keep the magpie. Runners CAN be one of the more sexually aggressive breeds. Doesn’t mean your’s is but just as a rule of thumb. Plus the magpie sounds adorable! You could always just go with the best tempered
I was thinking of getting my older ducklings some feeder fish for bath time (yes I know, but we always do a quick run through the tub for when they come in at night. My older ones are not on heat during the day but I bring them inside at night. What type of fish do you buy for them? I want...
I’ve had the chick since it was 3 days old and I’ve been pretty diligent with not letting them get wet/chilled etc. they are in my extra dining room so I’m with them almost 24/7. As their feathers develops I noticed this ones are wacky. The more they develop, the more it’s looks like it may...
